From the social department of CEM Can Ricart and CEM Colom, we are committed to promoting sport in the neighborhood with children and young people, to make sport a tool for social inclusion.
Last May 27, 28 and 29 we held a social duathlon at our CEM Colom center with organizations we work with, with young people between 11 and 15 years old, with a participation of 23 young people.
The participating entities have been the Gavina Foundation, the Gabella Association and the Raval de la Pere Tarrés Socio-Educational Center.
In total the boys and girls have achieved 35706m. With this activity we wanted to introduce the participants to a new activity, promote a healthy lifestyle and the importance of doing sport and feeling active. The values we wanted to achieve were teamwork and cooperation.
The next event is in the summer with the sports matinee as part of the Raval’s main festival on July 12.
We continue working on social projects that bring sport closer to young people and children in the Ciutat Vella District.
